What Is It?
A semi-dense chocolate cake with Nutella filling sprinkled with Sea Salt, garnished with meringue kisses and finished off with a Chantilly Cream and mint leaf.
Worth The Calories?
If we could each only one dessert for the rest of our lives, this would be it. Hands down this is quite possibly the best dessert we’ve ever had. The first time was in the fall of 2014 on a first visit to the restaurant. After only one bite we were asking ourselves, “what have we been missing?”
Since that first visit we’ve been two more times, just for dessert, often pairing it with a glass of Rosa Regale – a sparkling red wine that goes well with any chocolate dish. The Chocolate Pudding Cake is presented beautifully, making it striking for even the novice of food photographers. The chocolate ganache on the cake sparkles in the restaurant light and the curled, chocolate ribbon garnish turns this confection into a work of pastry art. Too bad it’ll all be consumed soon.
If you are a chocoholic like we are, this is for you. Eat it slow and savor every bite. The combination of the sweet and salt flavors is just perfect. We guarantee you’ll be depressed once your plate is empty and you’ll quickly find a way to make your next reservation just for this cake.
